New beginnings

Right after club graduation I was asked to coordinate for the first ride for 2024. I who hardly contributed during past rides had a task to fully organize a professional ride. While Initially I was not confident on how to go about it, I put my best foot forward and I thank project management skills for making it successful.
I reached to my go to Rider buddy Prathamesh Patki who agreed to assist with planning the first ride for the year. We both started looking at various options available for a weekend gateway. After lot of search and negotiations we finally shortlisted Amigos Lake Resort, Igatpuri.
My idea was to explore the beautiful lake surrounded by soaring mountain peaks. As a next step we shared the proposal with the club member. As anticipated we received immediate acceptance. It was now time to announce the ride on the group. Immediately after we posted the ride, we got a welcoming response from many riders. Few riders also included their families and pets.
Originally we planned for 12 riders but ended up accommodating 22. It was not easy to manage the growing numbers and had to constantly work with resort management for alternates. Finally the day arrived Jan, 13 2024.
We started early from Viviana Mall, Thane. Road towards the resort was full of scenic beauty. We as a pack halted at multiple points to enjoy and capture the nature’s beauty. Resort had its own beauty as we enjoyed the lakeside view from our luxurious camps. Riders enjoyed their time and ended up making great memories.
Post ride our club senior members appreciated our efforts and requested many more such rides. We were fortunate enough to successfully kick off 2024.
