Rasik and me met through a friend and decided to ride together to Lonavala over a weekend. That ride prompted hunger for more rides and that led to the creation of the Inddiethumpers yahoo group page and the club was born.
At the time most Indians used 2 wheelers primarily to commute. This mindset and dynamic was challenged and changed by the pioneer motorcycle clubs including Inddiethumpers, 60kph, RTMC, Madbulls, Royal Beasts and Road Shakers. The riding culture started by these groups ushered in a new er in Indian motorcycle scene.
Inddiethumpers holds the proud distinction of hosting Rider Mania three times – 2005, 2010 and 2018 making it a grand success thanks to the great efforts of the club members.
We however remain a small knit close community of riders who love to talk motorcycles, travel and hang out with each other. That is the essence of our community. If that sounds interesting, consider reaching out and signing up to be part of this community. Once a thumpers, always a thumper!

In the monsoon of 2001, I saved enough and took a loan to buy my dream bike, a black and chrome Royal Enfield Machismo 350. That bike led me to fellow riders, and soon, Inddiethumpers was formed in December 2001 with Rasik Narula. Back then, India lacked a riding culture, but Inddiethumpers, along with RTMC, Wanderers, and Roadshakers, ignited a passion for riding. We built a strong community that had a home wherever we rode. Events like Rider Mania united riders nationwide and still do. After 20+ years, we’re a close-knit club, upholding our original spirit. Forever honored to be an Inddiethumper.
Meet our stalwart table members, our senior most riders and most well-known faces in the riding community, they are tasked with maintaining the club ethos, vison and ideals

First job, first day, I rode my bullet to work. Took a loan of 11k from my dad which I never returned. That was 01/02/1986. My first ride was in 1981 from Jamshedpur to Kathmandu. Riding was restricted to 200/300 kms till I shifted to Mumbai in 1993. The motorcycling bug was growing inside me till I joined Inddiethumpers in 2002 February. Every kind of ride continued to happen, small …. Medium …. Long…. Ladakh …. RM etc etc. then graduated to Thailand …. Germany…. Austria …. USA …. Czeck …. Romania etc. I am indebted to Inddiethumpers for fulfilling my dreams and I thank every thumpers/brothers/ wonderful friends for life for giving me the opportunity to ride. Long live the brotherhood

Motorcycle riding started for me with “Love at first sight” when I laid my eyes in College on a City-bike 500 predecessor to the famed Thunderbird. The RE Bullet bug bit me then.
As fate would have it, my first love Bullet 1988 STD 350 got me introduced to Sameer aka Goli (same college Citybike 500 owner) to our Inddie Thumpers Club, BOMBAY. Over the years, upgraded to a STD 500 (1992) then Interceptor 650 (2019), followed by TB500 2016 to finally enjoy the Himalayan 411 (2021)
To sum my passion for the Club, I have been riding with the Inddie Thumpers since 2002. The rest of the story is history with uncountable rides with unforgettable memories with fellow Thumpers.

My journey with the Thumpers has been nothing short of crazy!!! I started riding with Inddiethumpers in 2003, a couple years after its inception.
Anna (Sachin) and me were at Anthon’s garage when one of his boys said, “Saab abhi nai hai, wo sab pagal log ke saath Goa jaane ka tayari kar raha hai.”
That’s also how my first Rider Mania happened. Since then it’s been a crazy ride with crazier folks
Fantastic how Inddiethumpers has grown, as a family and the bonds have gotten stronger. Along the years i have owned the CI 350, CI 500, Interceptor 650 and the Himalayan 450. Last two being my current rides.
Looking forward to the multiple miles to come. Keep Riding, Godspeed!!

Have been part of the Inddie Thumpers family since 2005 & wanted to be part of the club even before I could own a Royal Enfield. My bike journey started with my grandpa Bajaj Club on which I learned to ride a geared bike, then got my first bullet cast iron right shift Machismo 350. It was super awesome and the feel of riding and sound of this type of machine can never ever be replaced especially with the goldstar silencer. Music to the ears. I currently ride an AVL 500 Machismo. Lastly I will just say that I hope and wish that the values of the club that I know lives on and touches more people like it did for me. My First Bullet – Citibike Lightning in the year 1999, thereafter had a few of them, Electra 4S, Machismo 500, 1959 G2 ( Thanks to Brucey bhai ) and now riding a Himalayan and Interceptor. Joined Inddie Thumpers in 2005. First longest ride was Ladakh in 2009 and that too with pillion. Had a great time, broke 3 foot stands and had several falls. Because of the Thumpers had been to places where in normal course would not even think of visiting. Thereafter there was no stopping my passion for riding, solo and with the Thumpers gang. Solo longest ride was Mumbai – Kanyakumari – Kashmir – Mumbai. It has been great to be a member of Inddie Thumpers and would love to ride with the Thumpers till I can ride…… ONCE A THUMPERS, ALWAYS A THUMPER

I’m a wild-hearted biker and a proud member of the InddieThumpers Motorcycle Club in Mumbai since 2007! It’s been an epic ride filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a few questionable decisions. I’ve got two amazing machines: my trusty 2007 RE Thunderbird and my shiny new 2024 Super Meteor 650. My brothers and I have cruised through every corner of this stunning country, collecting tales that range from the ridiculous to the downright legendary. Here’s to more wild rides, unexpected detours, and stories that will keep us laughing for years to come!

Ever since I first heard that thump rumbling down the tar road when I was a child, I knew what I wanted when I grew up. Fulfilling that goal felt like a lifetime achievement. But to my surprise there was a whole world waiting for me to explore once I bought my steed. Meeting like minded brothers in Inddiethumpers not only fueled my passion but also gave me a family of friends who inspire you with every gear change, every kilometer ridden, every place explored together. Been over 18 years now since I have been riding with Inddiethumpers and it feels like we have just explored the tip of the iceberg. A lot more to explore, to do, to ride. Came across an article about Mumbai’s rider club in 05 and having a travel bug, I decided that one day I will buy a bullet join this club. Bought my 1st bullet – Electra 5S the following year, followed by standard 350, standard 500 and Interceptor 650. Though the RE bullets were not known for speed, the fresh air hitting my face, open long road and the legendary thump sound transcended me to heaven. Trust me it’s very addictive. Over years I have realised, the club is not about just about the rides, it’s about trust, respect, sense of belonging and yes of course bhakchodi. Each ride guarantees it will blur the world problems and move you forward to a new beginning. Yeh alag baat hai after the ride you will be deported back to reality

I started riding with Inddiethumpers in 2005. I have been a moderate rider and don’t have a very big riding biodata so to say. All I can say that I met a bunch of interesting guys from all walks of life and am still in touch with most of them since my first ride. The beauty is that one ride is all it takes to build a life long connection. My time on the rides is the time when I am just ‘Ranjit’….I am not a husband, father, brother, son….just me and a bunch of guys who accept me as I am with no judgement.

My first encounter with Inddie Thumpers was in 2013, I met fellow Thumper Anoop Takle, who at 9:30 PM, was gearing up for a breakfast ride. I thought, “Who rides out at night for breakfast?” The name Inddie Thumpers stuck with me from then.
Witnessing a group of like-minded individuals riding their machines and pushing the limits of both their bodies and bikes struck me deeply. In that moment, I knew this was who I always wanted to be with.
My riding journey with Inddie Thumpers began in 2014 with my first Classic 350 (Deputy) and an Interceptor 650, (Regulus) and continues to this day. As we always say, “Once A Thumper, Always A Thumper.”

My journey with Inddiethumpers started in 2019, with the first ride being Dang Forest. Riding with a pack of 30 motorcycles, who rode in perfect formation, fully geared was an unforgettable experience It was that day my perspective on motorcycling shifted — Riding is about embracing the journey, not just reaching the destination. Since then, I have been riding with Inddie Thumpers with my wife who enjoys every journey as much as I do. The brotherhood we share is what keeps me deeply connected to the club. Together, we’ve explored places like South India, Spiti, Goa, Punjab, Hampi, and Rajasthan, with many more adventures still waiting to be had. My riding journey started in 2021 with a Himalayan 411. This is the first bike, I have ever ridden in my life. Always planned on being a part of a riding club, but I wanted to gain some KM’s under my belt.
1.5 years and 6000 Kms later, I joined the oldest riding club in Mumbai: Inddie Thumpers. Since then it has been an absolutely joyful experience riding.
We have fun, we joke, we banter, but the most important is we all ride together, no man left behind, I believe, riding is the glue to hold us all together. For me motorcycle riding is the ultimate happiness in my life and InddieThumpers helps me bring closer to my actual self.

My introductory ride was on 26-Jan-21 along with our ex-thumper (Mr. Kiran Gharat) with whom we rode from Panvel to Thane (meeting venue) where I met our fellow thumpers. While the breakfast ride was combined with a technical session, my bike was used for the demo…LOLZ!!!
Post taking a break of 2.5 years due to personal reasons, I once again reached out to Kiran Gharat, but unfortunately, he had moved on & asked me to connect with either Vinod or Venkat who were kind enough to welcome me back. My heartfelt gratitude to all the seniors, moderators and fellow thumpers who have helped me to graduate in a span of 1.5 years in the club.
HAPPY THUMPING!!!
